All The Shadows is the seventh studio album from the Ventura, California veterans and their first since 2023’s Dark Parade. Tim Baker (vocals), Armand John Anthony (guitars), Jarvis Leatherby (bass) and Robert Garven (drums) recorded it at The Captains Quarters in Ventura, with Anthony also handling engineering, mixing and mastering. The cover art is by Michael Whelan.
Eight songs swing between slow, stomping epic doom and faster traditional heavy metal, with Baker’s high, piercing voice drenched in echo – a little too much of it, at times. “On Broken Wings”, which opens on acoustic guitar, and “Turning Blind” are the early favourites among critics. The band stepped away from regular live shows at the end of 2024; on record, they are clearly not finished.
