Orden Ogan are the power metal band from Arnsberg, Germany, known for their huge choirs and epic concept stories. They have released eight studio albums, among them The Order of Fear in 2024.

Orden Ogan were formed in 1996 in Arnsberg, North Rhine-Westphalia, under the name Tanzende Aingewaide, and became Orden Ogan a year later. According to the band, “Ogan” is an old Celtic word for fear, so the name translates as “Order of Fear”.

After several demos and a self-released album, the band issued Vale in 2008 and signed to AFM Records, where they built their reputation with big choirs and huge refrains on Easton Hope (2010), To the End (2012) and Ravenhead (2015), which reached No. 16 in the German album chart. The western-themed Gunmen (2017) and the sci-fi Final Days (2021) followed.

Frontman and producer Sebastian “Seeb” Levermann has led the band from the start. Former Xandria bassist Steven Wussow joined in 2019.

Fittingly, the band’s eighth album carries the translation of their own name: The Order of Fear came out on 5 July 2024 via Reigning Phoenix Music and is their leanest, heaviest record in years. The next album, Lords of the Grave, is due on 8 January 2027, with a European tour alongside Ensiferum the same month.

Current line-up: Sebastian “Seeb” Levermann (vocals, guitars), Niels Löffler (guitars), Patrick Sperling (guitars), Steven Wussow (bass), Dirk Meyer-Berhorn (drums)
