Power Paladin

Power Paladin grew out of a band called Paladin, started in 2017 by vocalist Atli Guðlaugsson. He recruited bassist Kristleifur Þorsteinsson and drummer Einar Karl Júlíusson, and the line-up grew into a sextet with guitarists Ingi Þórisson and Bjarni Þór Jóhannsson and keyboardist Bjarni Egill Ögmundsson. Their music draws on fantasy themes and the European power metal tradition.

The signing to Atomic Fire Records was announced in November 2021. “Kraven the Hunter”, the opening track of the debut album, was issued as a 7-inch single on 10 December 2021, and With the Magic of Windfyre Steel followed on 7 January 2022.

The second album, Beyond the Reach of Enchantment, was released on 27 March 2026 through ROAR, a division of Reigning Phoenix Music. It was preceded by singles including “Sword Vigor”, “Aegis of Eternity” and “The Arcane Tower”, the last featuring Tommy Johansson of Majestica.
