Unleash the Archers

Unleash the Archers were formed in Victoria, British Columbia, in 2007 by vocalist Brittney Slayes, drummer Scott Buchanan and guitarist Brayden Dyczkowski. They released Behold the Devastation in 2009, moved to Vancouver in 2010 and followed up with Demons of the AstroWaste in 2011.

After line-up changes in 2013–2014, guitarist Andrew Kingsley joined and pushed the band towards a more traditional heavy metal sound. They signed with Napalm Records in 2015 and released Time Stands Still the same year, then built their reputation with the linked concept albums Apex (2017) and Abyss (2020). Bassist Nick Miller became a full-time member in December 2021.

Their sixth album, Phantoma, arrived on Napalm Records on 10 May 2024. Produced by Kingsley, it tells the story of a sentient AI facing a grim, dystopian Earth, and it reached number four on the UK Rock & Metal Albums chart.

The Canadians have kept touring hard since, including a slot on the 70000 Tons of Metal cruise in 2025.
