Archspire

Archspire formed in Vancouver, British Columbia, in 2009. The line-up of guitarists Dean Lamb and Tobi Morelli, vocalist Oliver Rae Aleron and drummer Spencer Prewett built the band’s sound around extreme tempos, machine-like precision and a rapid-fire vocal delivery. Their debut album All Shall Align was released in 2011 through Trendkill Recordings.

In 2013 the band signed with Season of Mist, which released The Lucid Collective in 2014 and Relentless Mutation in 2017. Bassist Jared Smith joined in 2016. The fourth album, Bleed the Future, followed in 2021 and was produced by Dave Otero in Denver, Colorado. It won the Juno Award for Metal/Hard Music Album of the Year.

Spencer Prewett, who had drummed on all four albums, left the band in September 2024, and Archspire held open auditions for a replacement. In May 2025 the band announced Spencer Moore, formerly of Inferi, as their new drummer.

Later in May 2025 Archspire confirmed that they had parted ways with Season of Mist and would release their next record independently, funded through a Kickstarter campaign. That album, Too Fast to Die, was produced by Dave Otero and released on 10 April 2026 as the band’s fifth studio album and their first with Moore.
