Thomas Gabriel Fischer, also known as Tom Gabriel Warrior, formed Triptykon in 2008. The band’s debut studio album, Eparistera Daimones, was released by Century Media on 22 March 2010.
The second album, Melana Chasmata, followed on Century Media and Prowling Death Records on 14 April 2014. It was recorded at Woodshed Studio in Germany and at the band’s rehearsal space in Zürich, and its cover uses H. R. Giger’s painting “Mordor VII”.
Drummer Hannes Grossmann later joined the line-up. In July 2024 Triptykon announced that they were working on their first studio album since Melana Chasmata, to be released by Century Media, and in May 2025 Fischer said the band were still working on new material.
Current line-up: Thomas Gabriel Fischer (vocals, guitar), V. Santura (guitar, vocals), Vanja Slajh (bass), Hannes Grossmann (drums)
