Rob Zombie

Rob Zombie started his solo project in 1997, while White Zombie was still officially together, working with guitarist Mike Riggs, bassist Blasko and drummer John Tempesta. Recording began in August 1997 at Chop Shop Studios in Hollywood, and White Zombie formally split in September 1998.

Hellbilly Deluxe came out on Geffen on 25 August 1998, entered the Billboard 200 at number five and went triple platinum in the US, helped by “Dragula”, “Living Dead Girl” and “Superbeast”. The Sinister Urge followed in 2001, after which Zombie took a long break from music to focus on directing films.

He came back in 2005 with a new band featuring guitarist John 5 and drummer Tommy Clufetos, releasing Educated Horses (2006) and Hellbilly Deluxe 2 (2010). Former Marilyn Manson drummer Ginger Fish joined in 2011 and played on Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor (2013), The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser (2016) and The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy (2021).

His eighth album, The Great Satan, was released on 27 February 2026 through Nuclear Blast, produced by Zeuss and led by the single “Punks and Demons”. It brought back Mike Riggs, who had not played on a Zombie album since The Sinister Urge, and Blasko, absent since Educated Horses.

Current line-up: Rob Zombie (vocals), Mike Riggs (guitar), Blasko (bass). Ryan Goff played drums on the 2026 tour.
