Night Demon

Night Demon were formed in Ventura, California, in 2011 by singer and bassist Jarvis Leatherby and guitarist Brent Woodward. Raised on the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, they quickly became one of the bands leading the return of traditional, old-school heavy metal in the 2010s, and drummer Dusty Squires joined in 2013.

Their self-titled EP appeared in 2013, and in April 2014 the band made their European debut, including a show at Germany’s Keep It True festival. The debut album Curse of the Damned came out on Century Media in early 2015 and was followed by Darkness Remains in 2017, which was named album of the year by the German magazines Deaf Forever and Rocks!.

Woodward left in 2016 and guitarist Armand John Anthony took his place. The band captured their live energy on the triple album Live Darkness (2018) and collected their 2020 singles on Year of the Demon (2022).

Outsider, released by Century Media in March 2023, is the band’s first full concept album: the story of a young gravedigger who finds a dark, alternate version of his hometown. It was also the first record with drummer Brian Wilson, who replaced Squires. Night Demon supported King Diamond in North America in late 2024 and Queensrÿche in Europe in early 2025.

Current line-up: Jarvis Leatherby (vocals, bass), Armand John Anthony (guitar), Brian Wilson (drums).
