Berlin-based collective The Ocean have spent 25 years blending progressive metal, post-metal, ambient and electronic music into some of the most ambitious concept records in heavy music, from Pelagial to the Phanerozoic albums. Their new album Solaris, released in September, opens a new chapter after recent line-up changes, and Paavli Kultuurivabrik gets to hear it live.
Two Belgian trios open the night: psychedelic post-metal band Psychonaut and sludge/post-metal outfit Pothamus. Starts at 19:00. A cheaper youth ticket is available.
