Kerry King

Kerry King is the solo band of the Slayer co-founder and guitarist. After Slayer’s farewell tour ended in 2019, King began working on new songs with drummer Paul Bostaph around 2020, aiming for music that would sound like Slayer without trying to be Slayer.

The line-up was revealed in early 2024: Death Angel singer Mark Osegueda, Hellyeah bassist Kyle Sanders and Vio-lence guitarist Phil Demmel, formerly of Machine Head, alongside King and Bostaph.

The debut album From Hell I Rise was released on Reigning Phoenix Music on 17 May 2024. Recorded at Henson Studios in Los Angeles with producer Josh Wilbur, it reached number three in Germany and number four in Austria, and the band spent the following year on festival stages in Europe and North America.

A deluxe edition with five extra demo tracks, sung by King himself, followed on 19 June 2026. The band was set to start recording its second album in April 2026.

Current line-up: Kerry King (guitars), Phil Demmel (guitars), Mark Osegueda (vocals), Kyle Sanders (bass), Paul Bostaph (drums)
